i have the same doll as this one, it was made in germany in 1923-1924 by armanda marcella. and is very rare. it was made for export only and was known as the baby doll.

I also have this doll, but very worn. It was in our house when i was a girl. She has pigtails by her ears and two on her head tied with red ribbons. The paint on one arm is very chipped, less so for her other arm and legs and feet. I didn't know she was paper maché as she seems to be wooden.

I'm very happy to have this information. Since my Great-grandmother came from Germany in 1872, it may have been ordered for my mother who was born in 1913.

Do you think I should get her restored?

I think someone added the pigtails on my doll later as I see tiny staples under the hair an ribbons.
